Falling leaves and cool days and nights bring thoughts of Halloween and marching bands. But there is more to look forward
to on those brisk fall and winter weekends: the sights, sounds, smells and sensations of the start of another Shipshewana
On The Road show season. Step out and join the thousands of others who will celebrate the first show of the 29th season of
Shipshewana On The Road in Birch Run, Michigan on October 28th & 29th, 2006 at the Birch Run Expo Center. There is something for everyone and that is why it is known as an ultimate family event.
If you hunger for tasty Amish jams
and jellies,
a new wood cabinet for your home, a sparkling Russian Lab diamond, a new sequin shirt or that perfect little accent for
your bed or bath, we have just what you need to satisfy your appetite. Baby cloths, shoes, designer inspired handbags, scrap
booking supplies, fuzzy warm blankets, floral arrangements, Christmas decorations, a wide variety of gift items and don’t
forget about the toys because it is almost time for Santa. Speaking of toys, Jim Moore of JC Sales who has long sold baking supplies, spices and children’s books at our shows has
added a new complete line of Melissa and Doug’s Toys to his business. Melissa and Doug’s are best known for their
puzzles,
play food, wooden toys and playful puppets, but most of all for their fine quality. So if you have a little person who you
want to give something that they will treasure please check out Jim’s booth.
Skip and Rita Harper of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, who have been with Shipshewana On the Road for years, are ready to start the season with new and wonderful finds. They have traveled from coast to coast this summer looking for
those special pieces of silver jewelry and of course always keeping in mind that it must a great value for their customers.
They welcome you to stop by their booth to check out the latest in silver jewelry.
Leonard Wilkes of Elkhart, IN owner of IBS Sales is featuring Alexandria’s Fragrance Lamps this Holiday season. These lamps
combine a 100 year old concept of air purification with the pleasures of rich fragrances and aromatherapy. The new collection
includes hand crafted art glass and ceramic lamps ranging from contemporary to traditional and with a cost of $29.95 it
is sure to be the lowest price you will find anywhere.
Danny
Burns of North Webster, IN owner of B & B Distributors has greatly enlarged his already extensive line of doilies to
include even more of those hard to find sizes and patterns. He also has added a much less expensive line of those beloved
Smith & Hawkin’s carved ducks that sold
for at least $49. Plan to spend much less than half that for
Danny’s wood-like carved ducks. Of course these are just a few of the new products you will see at our fall shows.
You will just have to see everything that has changed or been added. The first fall 2006 Shipshewana On The Road show will be held at the Birch Run Expo Center in Birch Run, MI on October 28th
